Kansas APCO is a chapter of the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials, an
International organization focused on the enhancement and enrichment of public safety.

The Chapter was formed on April 8, 1955 after the MO-KAN Chapter dissolved and formed two
separate Kansas and Missouri Chapters.  (See the article from the APCO Bulletin below).
Kansas APCO's membership includes anyone involved in public safety communications including
9-1-1 dispatchers and administrators, police, fire, and EMS officials, and others.  The purpose of
the Chapter is to represent communications agencies in legislative matters related to emergency
communications issues, to provide guidance and leadership to it's members, and offer training and
networking at each of it's two yearly conferences.

We invite you to consider joining the Kansas Chapter of APCO to see what we have to offer you.
